    Basic guide

    Beginner tips

Your ultimate is one of the most powerful ultimates in the game, use it versus someone having no escape ability left and you will be able to hardly chunk his health !

Hitting your javelins is crucial in Shifu's gameplay, you will need most likely to hit every of them at the round starts if you don't want to be useless for 10 seconds or so by not being into the fight.

Think about the right thing to counter and always use it for this particular spell will be key to crush your opponent.

    Combos

    Difficulty :
    exE + M2

Try to do with full stack on your M2.

    Mastering guide

    Positioning

Always try to stick to your ennemy to create a constant pressure on them and punishing their mistakes immediately. Use your cooldowns wisely and you will be able to make it out.

Always switch between targets, choose the one having the less cd's up and punish him until he got his cd's back, and switch again, this is the way you maximize your dps potential as shifu.

    Sudden death

You don't have anything to push your opponents out of the safe zone, but the closed zone is still an advantage for you, allowing you to easily incap your opponents and take the middle orbs freely ! If you get pushed out of the safe zone, just keep a javelin stack to get back into it.

    Advanced tips

Learn to tap your m1 - dont spam your m1 against characters with counters/shields.

Cancel your m1s - when you m1, you slow down and become easier to hit, we want to reduce pointless attacking of air to minimum. This applies not only to m1, we dont want to waste a single cooldown, everything counts.

Pick your target - some champions are easier for shifu, some are harder, so pick your fights wisely. Generally speaking we donʼt want to fight champions like freya/ruhkaan/bakko from the very beginning of the fight, its better to initiate on someone else, farm some energy or maybe even ult and then try to catch them when their defensive cd's are down.

Don't always use default space, since EXSpace is your only real way to heal yourself, use it to dodge an ability then use M1 to heal you. But be sure being able to hit your M1 after using it, if your opponent still has an escape ability available, you might end up not hitting any of them, and wasting 50 energy, which you don't want to.

If an opponent (melee's essentially) is rushing you down, try to bait out his counter and start trading them back. You can also just use incap to reposition and avoid getting crushed by them.

    Orb control

Your orb control is pretty good if you have enough energy to incap your opponents, then take the orb with your ally. You can also use your EX-E to grab the orb near you and your ally to secure it.

    Synergy & Match-up

We are actually updating Synergy and Match-ups.

    Match-up

    Lucie

If you counter Lucie's petrify or panic, and hit all your javelins on her , she doesn’t have any chances to survive versus you. Use your ultimate after her roll and she will be dead.

    Jumong

Jumong sucks vs rushing melee's such as Shifu, just run down on him at the start of the round to get a really good chunk on him, making a good advantage for your team

    Croak

Try to counter either his jump or his M1 after stealth to avoid most of his damage potential. Try to incap him after he used space and you will be able to deal a lot of damage to him.

    Iva

Hit all your javelins and dodge her flame thrower with your space (or incap her if she starts using it). Also try to counter her tazer if you can !

    Jade

Hit all your javelins and try to incap her if she is still closed to you during her stealth, stalling enough time for you to get an advantage on her. Be aware of her M2 (do not get counter baited by a potential cancel) !

    Ruh Kaan

He will play super aggressive vs you, and you will need to pay attention to a certain amount of things. Firstly, do not hit his consume as much as you can, since trading vs him while being cursed is a thing you DO NOT want to do (he will outrade you in this case). Secondly, counter the right thing : Charged M1 (knowing when it will be up could be a good thing to care about). Lastly, if you are out of cd's (space/counter) while trading, just try to incap him to stall time, or use a javelin to back off and wait for your cd's to come back (Rukhaan is way less cd's reliant to trade with you, since he only needs curse to beat you)
